The Elizabeth Robins Diary Podcast explores the people and events of the 1870s-1950s through the lens of writer and actress Elizabeth Robins. Covering people and events from The Gilded Age through post-WW2 in America and Europe, the podcast studies the life of actress and author Elizabeth Robins. Roots Creative Co. is a proud partner of the Elizabeth Robins Diary Podcast.
We collaborated with podcast host and creator Natalie Kahler to develop a cohesive brand identity and design a dedicated website for her podcast. Additionally, we captured reference images at historic Chinsegut Hill, which are used in podcast blogs and promotional materials.
When developing the brand identity and website design for the ER Diary Podcast, we wanted to pay tribute to Elizabeth's accomplishments in the suffrage movement. This led us to utilize purple as the main color on the website, with white and yellow as slight accents throughout the site and graphic designs. Although Elizabeth had many successes in her lifetime, her story cannot be told without sharing her work as a suffragist.
When creating the logo, we utilized Elizabeth’s journal entries and letters to incorporate her penmanship into the visual as another way to honor her and her successes. Elizabeth was a woman of many talents and this was another way we could pay respects to her creative, passionate, and progressive spirit.
In addition to these elements, we worked with local artist, Nancy Barry, to develop and print greeting cards, stickers, t-shirts, and a journal to bring a full collection of merchandise to ER Diary podcast listeners.
